Mia is a New Zealand-born artist based in Melbourne, whose work is grounded in the belief that colour isn’t just something we see, it’s something we feel. 'Woven Wildflowers' was created as part of our Artist series, created to spotlight and celebrate Australian artists and designers. Inspired by the natural textures of the Australian landscape, Mia’s work draws on everything from moss-covered rocks to sunlit bushland, creating pieces that feel both grounded and dreamlike.

Through bold palettes, layered textures and expressive mark making, Mia explores the energy and emotion of the everyday. Her practice is deeply intuitive, with a focus on creating work that brings a sense of lightness, warmth and wonder into the spaces we live in.
